WEBSITE OF THE WEEK

To be honest it might be another few months before I come across a site that has made as much of an impact on me as this one...so the next "award" could very well end up being "Website of the year" ....but I happened across this very site this morning and boy oh boy do I love it.....the art work ain't half bad either.....:P

http://www.jamielittler.co.uk/

Go take a look for its actually beautiful and Jamie is very extremely talented artist.

It's always the highest of honours when I revert to Charlie and Lola speak to reference someone.

Come to think of it, I might start doing nods and plaudits for "things that have very much and greatly made me speak like Lola".

Jamie wins obviously this week.

Pop Quiz Punk

Sometimes making treasuries on Etsy can be a tiresome task, more so than you would think. First there are all the political connotations of making them, do you do a random one, do you do a team one, who will get offended if you leave them out, will you be offended when certain members of a team you are in repeatedly make treasuries and don't reciprocate any favours you've done them? I've been a member of a couple of teams that have made children in playgrounds look mature, liberal and welcoming, like a United Nations convention.....you get my drift. Plus there is the time spent clicking through listing after listing. I love looking through Etsy and I've found some items I totally heart by coming across them for a treasury I am making, but sometimes, when the eyes are tired...its the last thing on earth you feel like doing...but you are a good person who wants to help your friends and contacts and also presumably a person who wants to make money out of your own goods for sale...so you plough on.
I am a leader of the S.E.R.I.O.U.S radio on Etsy team and my captain Fancy Flea Vintage did a great treasury yesterday where we all got to guess the song title....I love music, I love quizzes so I am now in treasury making heaven!!! Enjoy.

TASTE THE RAINBOW

I'm a bit preoccupied at the moment with items of all kinds that require a decent pair of sunglasses before you can appraise them. That's not a negative thing by the way, I simply mean to say I am finding myself so attracted to all kinds of neon inyerface brights that dazzle the eyeballs.
Perhaps its down to the waiting for spring: technically its close...the Daffodils and Tulips are starting to poke through yet Spring and Summer seem so far away really, thanks to the grey skies, the freezing temperatures, the persistent return of the snows.
So to cheer myself up I am making candy coloured treasury of brights this afternoon

.....as Taio Cruz says "I throw Skittles in the air sometimes, saying aaaaa oooh taste the rainbow"...
OK so he didn't really but that leads onto another issue....if we are having a coveting of all the colours of the rainbow day, we might as well have some music to go with it.....for this I heartily recommend the following for sheer perky-ness. Play loud, on a loop :)

Eet - Regina Spektor
Melody Day - Caribou
I Want The World To Stop - Belle and Sebastian
Juxtaposed With You - Super Furry Animals
So Flute - St Germain
Slaveship - Josh Rouse
Electric Ladyland -Fantastic Plastic Machine
L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N - Noah and The Whale
Walking on A Dream - Empire Of The Sun
Living Is So Easy - British Sea Power
The Golden Path - The Chemical Brothers
Don't Rain On My Parade - Bobby Darin
Move On Up - Curtis Mayfield
Forget You - Cee Lo Green
